"Weather" by Jenny Offill is a unique take on the intersection of day-to-day life and fear of doomsday. It is smart and funny, although it doesn't completely come together for me.

I wouldn't consider myself a fan of stream of consciousness writing. But, boy howdy, did I love it here. It seemed every page had a quip or observation worth pondering in a full conversation with a friend.
So many are talking about the bleakness (and it is a bleak topic). But not only is this book really, really funny, its prose and the moments Offill chooses to highlight are often purely delightful.
It's a deceptively easy read. But there is a lot of depth here.

Gotta reread, I got too sidetracked too many times to be sure I liked it as much as I think
