The whole time I was reading this I didn’t want it to end. The easiest 5 stars I’ve given a book, reading this and boy parts has quickly solidified Eliza Clark as possibly my favourite writer.

Incredible read. I absolutely loved the unreliable narration - what's factual and what is fabricated? We'll never know. Loved the interrogation of how social media, internet access and high school can interrupt the development and mental health of teenage girls. I thoroughly enjoyed the Northern setting and the backstory to Crow on Sea. One of the best books I've read this year and immediately going to seek out Boy Parts to read asap!

So much to think about from this book and although I’m not a crime/mystery fan at all, I still really enjoyed this book for the most part.
The overarching criticism of the true crime genre is really what sets this book apart, and how the industry uses the guise of ‘helping the victims find answers’, when in reality true crime has become a soulless money making industry for individuals to make lazy and inappropriate content - I thought the author navigated this in a brilliant way.
Some chapters in the book were so chilling that I honestly felt ill reading them - so for those who can’t stomach the idea of a young girl being killed with her whole life ahead of her, this might not be the book for you.
Definitely a good read if you naturally gravitate to true crime content!
