Eloisa James has done it again. This Wilde Series is one of my favorites. Somehow, Eloisa James manages to capture chemistry so well. I don’t know how she writes it.

This book is about Betsy and Jeremy. Jeremy has come back from war with PTSD and Betsy, due to her scandalous mother, has decided to be the most proper lady. Together, they learn to be themselves and that there’s nothing wrong with them.

This book is adorable and sweet, there’s something about the Wilde family that is just so endearing. Again the chemistry between Betsy and Jeremy is just so on point. Somehow, she creates these real characters with real feelings, and you can feel the emotion float off the page.

I will read anything Eloise James writes.

betsy and jeremy. i had such a good time with this. there's a certain ridiculousness that eloisa james creates in her books that i adore. it's funny but also a little bit heart-wrenching.

Love the story except the final ending!

The story were delight ❤️ love H/h their chemistry were remarkable. But why just right at the end of epilogue the marquess (H’s father) should die!? (Only 8 years later!) and by the end reader like me comes to like the late marquess very much, It’s kinda a bitter sweet ending. However, I will pretend that the ending will be “all of grandpa , ma and grand aunt are so happy playing with nieces and nephews”

I was a little afraid this book would be a bit of a letdown, because I loved the previous book in the series so much. And while Betsy and Jeremy aren't quite up there with Parth and Lavinia for me, this was a great addition to the series. As always, Ms. James's writing is strong--the characters are well-developed, the dialogue is fantastic, and the prose works--no clunkers here. I am wondering if we'll see more of Thaddeus; might he still become connected to the Wilde family? I hope so, if for no other reason than I want to see his mother and Aunt Knowe go on more adventures!
