I did not know that Brian K Vaughan was a writer on Lost. Remember that show? Thought I’d start ya with that fun fact.
“How did this happen” is a big question hanging over this first instalment and I think it’s definitely a big part of what drives it forward. So far there’s been a lot of moving around cities and not much action, and the main characters are not exactly likeable - Yorrick is way to self-righteous and I don’t think Hero’s character development makes any sense. So really the intrigue is really all it’s got.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s good intrigue. Good enough that I’ll be continuing the series. But it’s no Saga.
Then again, it’s no Lost either.
