Amazing writing as always! I have been looking forward to reading this book and held off until A Vow In Ruin was released. I was not disappointed. I am addicted to Sherilee's writting and the way she sucks you in with her characters and development of Willow and Warrick, exceptional as always.

This pulled me in hard - I read it in one day and am eager for the rest of the series. I liked the world and the sisters, and the twists in The plot kept me guessing. This had both “what is this weird feeling in my chest” and “I’ll bring you the heads of your enemies” - classic.

So maybe I wasn't a fan of this because there was a series before this? I mean you can definitely read this book and not read the series before but I just felt like maybe I was missing something about Warrick and Willow? I just could not connect at all with any of the characters.

Warrick takes emotionless to a whole new level. He is all alpha-hole and has no emotion. I am all for some good spicy scenes and smut but Warrick for the first 3/4 of the book was all about getting down and dirty without offering Willow anything above some dirty talk and superficial anything. Needless to say, that frustrated me. Eventually, he just magically gets feelings? It just felt so forced and odd to me as a reader. There was nothing attaching me to him other than a nice muscly body.

Willow... oh Willow... she is frustrating. One minute she is running from Warrick the next she is hot and heavy for him then running away again and refusing to be his plaything. It was just a hot mess of a book if you ask me.

If you like no substance, a lot of all-over-the-place action, and a few good spicy moments then this is the book for you. Also, this is a series that will follow each sister and her quest to find a mate. Willow and Warrick's story ended with this book, or, I am at least assuming it is by the epilogue and the preview for the second book.
