Interesting reading. This book explains well how we have effectively gone from the Stone Age to the silicon age and how we probably will ruin planet earth. I preferred the first book Homo Sapiens to this one simply because I prefer learning about the past to the present day but overall good complex read.

Not the best of his work but it’s still very interesting read. Ending is a bit dramatic & dystopian
It's simply mind-blowing the way this book describes how our present-day thinking has been shaped. Homo Deus broadens your horizon on today's conventional wisdoms and makes you rethink why we accept these as such.
Especially the last chapters on where we're heading towards are immensely intriguing. They will leave you more informed behind on a plethora of future-shaping questions such as why humans (should not) relate so dominantly to other species, how intelligence will decouple from consciousness, how a few multinationals have the power to manipulate human behaviour on a mass scale, why inequality will rise in a post-humanist era, why organisms are algorithms and dataism will become the next paradigm, and much more.
Excessive food for thought.

Yuval Noah Harari knows how to captivate you, and keep you interested in the story he is telling, while he keeps it factual. It's easy to read, and at the same time, it's mind-blowing.
He explains step by step, what the current situation in politics, science, etc. could mean for the future. He does make very clear that none of it is a prophecy, but merely a possibility.
A very relevant and simply brilliant book. Highly recommend.

Well written; convincing; the perspectives it explores are worrying.
Not as well researched as Sapiens but still a worth while read. Definitely lays out some interesting potential futures for our species, as well as encourages you to do your own side research into the facts and figures mentioned.

Very interesting take on what the future holds for mankind, the idea of “consciousness decoupling with intelligence” was particularly interesting to think about. I appreciated greatly the chapter on the Golden Record too or whatever its called that they sent into space, as ive often wondered why they selected certain songs.
