I do not even know where to begin with this book. What a truly beautiful story about so many different forms of love. Love for someone you’re in love with,  love for yourself, love for a best friend, and brotherly and sisterly love. This book had me sobbing many times by the end because of how wonderfully each of these loves was described and seeing how beautiful and powerful love for another can be. This book highlights the strength in putting others before yourself but also really emphasizes the love you must give yourself by putting yourself first. It’s a reminder of how truly short life could be and to tell the ones you love that you love them frequently.  Abby takes such time and care to writing such sensitive topics. I am able to feel the emotions of what every character is going through. I have adored everything that I have read by Abby Jimenez to date  and I cannot wait to continue reading her other books.

It's a nice book. And I understand the feelings os female lead but sometimes I think she was just so cruel to ml that I was honestly want to drop of reading this book. And also I wish that the side character the female best friend at the end of the book become like a nothing to the author. Just was like the main point and twist of the whole book, but she was sure just for that purpose and left behind like a garbe that no one want. but from a positive aspect I like that this book is not scary to talk about periods and femeal diseases of the reproductive system what was huge plus to me. Overall I am happy that book finishes with happy ending and shines the light on infertility and how hard it is to be a girl.

current status: not finishing it. If my copy hadn’t been given to me as a gift I would’ve probably been doing what I did with the next one: returning it and not worrying if I pick it back up. TBD on if I finish this.

The miscommunication in this one was very frustrating. And there was some “not like other girls” stuff that turned me off. But the writing was good, and the characters were likeable, and there were lots of funny and sweet moments.

dude FUCK this book. made me cry at the gym for no good reason. literally nobody needed to die it was so unnecessary and so painful and it made this already shitty book full of shitty people who make shitty decisions because they have shitty communication skills even shittier. this was physically painful to listen to at times despite being read by my favorite audiobook narrators.

Who'd have thought a Josh could be this sweet?

I'm going to have a hard time rating this one, but I'll try.

The first 80% of The Friend Zone was very much like your standard romance book. A stubborn FMC, a persistent alpha male MMC, and some issues and misunderstandings preventing them from being together.

This part was pretty frustrating at times. If these two could've just sat down and had a frank conversation like adults, they could've been together so much sooner. I understand not wanting to share this kind of thing firsthand, but personally, I felt this book went a bit too far with it.

I did love Josh, though. He was sweet and thoughtful. A bit overly alpha male bordering on stalkerish at times, but that's pretty standard for a book boyfriend

Then, the last 20% of this book happened, and honestly, it hit too close to home for me personally. My own fault, I should've looked closer at the trigger warnings than I did.

Objectively, it was well written, pretty close to accurate, and it definitely gave me feels.

Overall, I did enjoy The Friend Zone. I may not read the rest, but if this was before my sister had her stroke, I probably would've really enjoyed it and continued

I loved this book, such a rollercoaster of emotions, the anticipation, depth of characters, and love story was so great!! I laughed and cried with this one, definitely check the TW, I was not prepared for the depth of the complex issues/conflicts but it was so well done! #abbyjimenez #thefriendzone #fivestarreads
