This book was my first minotaur romance and I enjoyed it a lot! Asteron was a total simp for his queen Ginny and I was totally down for it.
This is a fast-paced book with insta-love, fated mates, action, a cinnamon roll MMC and mucho spice š¶
It was a wild ride in usual Hattie Jacks fashion, and I was totally down with it.

I went into this book vary wary. I'm not much of a sci-fi reader, but I'm getting there.
Saying all that, I did enjoy the story. The FMC needs an out for her shitty life, so she signs up for a lottery program. She "wins" herself a husband; a big, alien, minotaur husband. The MMC, our minotaur, is the newly crowned king of Xnos, and he needs a wife to show his planet that he will be a good king. He finds her in the Starlight Brides lottery, but he doesn't reckon on finding his fated mate.
Now this isn't my first rodeo into monster/alien romance country, but there were some things in this that kind of gave me the ick. For me, there was too many references to being in a barn or barnyard.

Holy cow (pun very much intended); what a way to start a series!! This was the published book world's equivalent of a "crack fic" and I couldn't put it down. The world building was engaging and the plot was bonkers, in the best way possible. This was a very much insta lust/love situation with all the breeding and lactophilia, so if that's your thing, you will love this. I can't wait to see where this series goes!

Ginnyās life is anything but glamorous. Working in the depths of Space Cruiser Britannia, she barely makes ends meet. But Ginny is not a woman who easily backs down from challenges. Sheās hardworking and doesnāt hesitate to stand her ground. Even more, sheās kind, caring, compassionate and understanding. And she can easily adapt to any situation. I also loved her strength and courage. Ginny is a wonderful woman and I loved her so, so much!
King Asteron is one formidable male - huge, muscular, fearsome, growly and intense. But Asteron is even more than that. Heās also incredibly caring, thoughtful, honorable, generous, fiercely protective and so deliciously dominant. And he has quite a lot on his plate as the new ruler of Xnos. Asteron is an incredible male and I adored everything about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Ginny and Asteron! Ginny witnesses something sheās not supposed to and her only chance to escape is to sign-up for the Starlight Lottery. On the other hand, Asteron needs a mate and an heir to unite his people. Whatās supposed to be a marriage of convenience, quickly becomes so much more! Because the moment Asteron sees Ginny, he falls head over hooves for the tiny human. And Ginny is instantaneously attracted to the fearsome king, too, but his hot and cold attitude makes it hard for her to fully open her heart. I adored those two together! I loved their chemistry, the tension, the banters and the teasing. I also loved every moment they spent together, getting to know one another and learning to trust each other. Even more, I loved all the effort they both put into their new relationship. And the spice! Ohhhh, talk about creative matingā¦ I couldnāt get enough of all the naughty delight! Ginny and Asteron were absolutely perfect for each other and more than deserved to find happiness and love together!
In addition, the storyline was fantastic! I loved the Xnossans - their chatty and sassy ladies were so fun, and each of the males were such fearsome and honorable warriors, who under the right rule managed to transform into a formidable, united and unstoppable force. With everything happening, I was glued to the pages till the very end.
Overall, the story is a spectacular, quick-paced, fun, suspenseful and very, very naughty read and I absolutely loved every page of it!

I was lucky to get this book as an ARC. This is a series with different authors and itās my first Hattie Jacks book. I really enjoyed it! Putting a Minotaur in space worked way better than I anticipated. The FMC was not kidnapped by aliens (which seems to be most alien books). Super steamy and FMC need her husbandās touch to survive pregnancy. Iāll definitely be reading more of Jacksā books and canāt wait to get the next book it the series!!

This was a very quick and lighthearted read. If you are interested in the tropes or *ahem* special stalls, this is the book for you!! It helped break me out of a reading slump, and I have not stopped reading since.
Basically, this book is everything you expect it to be and so much more.

Asteron (hehe Astarion), was a slow-burn for me, but I ended up loving him so much. He was a soft but firm good boy.
This book had every trope I loved, I could not get enough...
I really wish we got more time with Ginny and Asteron. I liked their dynamic a lot, I am craving more. Excited for more from this series!!
