This was a great read. The story of a man that loves to be loved by any woman that will have him and a independent, strong woman that is not looking for anything but someone to help save the wildlife. From the very beginning this story had me hooked. It started off miniature in the romance department. Then grew and grew as the story went on.
This is how to write a love story. Jen Luerssen gained a fan with this book! Keep them coming!

Book Review: Lyon Tamer
Author: Jen Leurssen
Four Stars
This book is described as a Nerdy Romcom Adventure. Jen Leurssen is a new to me author. This is why I love my Kindle Unlimited Subscription, I am able to discover these authors and enjoy their works.
Good read, but honestly I enjoyed the large cat rescue and release part of the story more than I enjoyed the romance. This story is definately a very SLOW burn. There are a few parts of this story that you can visualize and are so serene and so beautiful you wish you were actually there and could be a part of it all, and there are the parts that are so hilariously funny and graphic that you can almost smell what it was like to be there.
And lets just admire the Good Doctors hobby okay.... creating Minatures?? WHAT!?!?!
Definately an author to watch for more.

I absolutely loved reading this story. Reading about the tigers and lions pulled at my heartstrings.
I was rooting for Sheldon and Simone from the very get go. They had amazing chemistry and played off each other fairly well. Seeing Simone slowly open up to Sheldon and watching them grow closer made me happy. Although reading the descriptions of his miniatures he made, definitely had me giggling and giving me ideas for my own personal life.
The storytelling was magnificent and wasn't solely focused on just the steamy scenes

This is one of the most entertaining romances I've read in a long time. It came with a little of everything: drama, laughter, jealousy, love, etc. So many animals are being abused in reality that it is refreshing to see an important topic touched on as a plot in the book. The characters are the biggest group of quirky personalities that somehow work together as a team. They run smooth, tease each other yet get the job done. I felt the emotions flow as our two man characters went through their challenges of trying to make it work. Not sure what to think if I would run into a man just sitting there carving mini kama-sutra poses. You have to read this one!

An hysterical rom-com
From the first pages this had me laughing. The banter between Shel and Simone was brilliant and the pace of the romance well done. I loved the setting being animal rescue, this was well researched and executed wonderfully. The cover model does Shel justice too - ‘swoon’. This was a salacious, romantic and engaging read. Highly recommend.

I was intrigued by this story. I loved the jobs these two have. He’s a vet and she work with a group to free tigers and lions from circus’. Very noble for them both. Then he gets invited on a trip as their vet. Totally amazing! I loved the stories that came out of his trip on working with the animals. I’m so jealous! To me this is the main story..the romance came second. The descriptiveness which involved..little sleep, bugs, terrain and natives really helps sell this and make it believable.

I enjoyed meeting Simone and the rest of her friends that work saving these animals too. Simone was supposed to be the fundraiser and PR but I never saw her do that job except once. Mostly she ran on missions and feed/cleaned the animals. Each Simone and Sheldon have relationship issues. He seemed very aware and tried to overcome. She ran hot and cold and was not my favorite character for attitude. She did great with the animals but not the people.

Overall there are many delightful parts of this story. I did enjoy the “nod” to Frank from a different series. Sheldon is a very complex and amusing character. I was going to ask how the author came upon this idea but I found out in the acknowledgments.

I enjoyed this romance romcom story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed and look forward to seeing what is next for her. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning and kept me engaged to the end. This is a well written story that made me laugh in parts and I enjoyed the connectable characters. They gave life to the story as well as made it fun and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced story about Sheldon and Simone. He is addicted to one night stands and she has one priority which is raising funds for the rescue. What will happen one a chance meeting turns into something neither one was expecting? Will he get another chance at love? I really enjoyed their chemistry and what they brought to the story. They are great characters that I would enjoy seeing more of. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens to these two.

I enjoyed this book so much! I love my Rom Com books but this one was different in a good way. It literally had me laughing and shaking my heads with laugher and happiness and at certain points. I loved how the characters were written as well as how they changed as the story went on and you literally were cheering for a happy ending for the main characters despite what ever drama or situations they got themselves into!

Sheldon was a fun character to read about! He was a modern day guy who enjoys one night stands, his parts, women for sure and never having to tie himself down to well anyone. He enjoyed his free style life, but sometimes when you think your living the life you are meant for what happens when you get that moment that hits maybe just once in a life time that leaves you breathless and shows you everything you could be as well as everything you can not live without?

Sheldon faces this head on when he is taking over for a veterinarian named Simone that had all the animal features Sheldon could ever dream of as well as the mind and heart he needed so much, but wasn't aware to a moment that he very much did! Simone was a strong character that neither wanted one night stands or a relationship.

Could those moments of caring for the animals they helped and provided care for perhaps bring on love to both their lives they had no idea each of them needed so badly?

I truly enjoyed this book and this was a new author for me. I simply fell in love with their writing technique as well as they progressed the story and you got the background of the story which was the animals as well as the love story that was more than just sexiness' it was full of desire and fun moments and moments where you were cheering and slamming your head down with laugher!

I highly recommend this book and look forward to more work from this talented author in the future!

This book is an easy read ,and a lot of fun. Sheldon and Simone were amazing characters. The light hearted banter and everything leading up to them finally being together we’re timed perfectly. Simone was very closed off, and she clearly wasn’t seeking love or a relationship. Sheldon was exact opposite looking for love, but apparently in all the wrong places. Watching Sheldon and Simone come together was beautiful, and fun. Plus I’m a big fan of animals and rescues and bringing those into a book always factor a wonderful outcome.I can say I had a lot of popcorn and cookies reading this novel

Lyon Tamer by Jen Luerssen had me laughing out loud in parts. It is a romcom with plenty of humor, funny banter, and laugh-out-loud moments. The story is everything I have come to expect from Jen Luerssen, well woven, clever, witty, and entirely entertaining.
Sheldon Lock is a vet with a reputation as a bit of a player. He has been unlucky in love but has plenty of ‘experience’ between the sheets. Then he meets focused and determined Simone Lyon, who hasn’t got time for a relationship- her energy is aimed at raising funds to rescue big cats from captivity with her Freedom Roar Rescue organisation. But when Sheldon shows up to do some veterinary work- things take an awkward, but interesting turn….
A fun read!

Thank you, Jen Luerssen!
