Ok i want to start by saying that this book isn’t rlly 5 stars more like 4 but i give the whole series 5 stars. I love it. I love the Bosnia mentions Haha. But also just everything abt it. Warwick and brex are actually my whole life I can’t. And I actually liked the diff povs. I’m excited for the next book.

brexley runs away from everyone with the nectar. istvan starts rebuilding his power in ivanenkos territory. and everyone who escaped from the prison is trying to take back budapest. sonya makes a claim to the throne of budapest and shes also an evil bitch so thats just great. the rebels hideout is attacked so they all go to ukraine where istvan is trying to rebuild and to find brexley. brexley is like on the run the whole time bc so many people are hunting her and shes trying to handle her power but the nectar keeps growing and its getting harder. and then theres kinda a war at the end but i will say the ending was kinda anticlimactic.

brexley was damn near abt to sarcifice herself bc shes so baddie and warwick was abt to sacrifice himself for brexley bc hes so in love w her its actually insane. im so glad they got a happy ending with each other.

the smut was once again great.

i hated how it was kinda an open ending tho but ash has 2 books after this so maybe it will be fine.

What a tough read, it took me a MONTH. I refused to quit because I was determined to finish the series and I really enjoyed the other books, but my god. I didn’t even mind the multiple POVs because they were a nice break from the whiny, frustrating character Brexley developed into. That girl doesn’t listen to anything, not a word, not a syllable that comes out of anyone else’s mouth. I have to come back and write a full rant about it, honestly.
My other issue is that so much of the action happened in the last third of the book (or less). Six books leading up to…that? It’s almost like the author wanted to write one more book in the series but changed her mind at the last minute and tied up 90% of the issues really quickly to move on to her next project. Mind blowing, and not in a good way.

the final chapter of our sad girls story finally ends happily but it was kind of meh for the reader. not sure why, it just didn’t hit like the others did.
