I liked it a lot. Of course. Why would I have given it five stars otherwise?
I think it's great how Cinda manages to wind the people's lives together without taking the obvious route. I'm looking forward for the next book.

This is a fantasy novel about a matriarchal queendom. Wizards are the villains here.

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed both sides of this story!. I loved all the detail that was put into the world and the characters. My only issue was Hans reaction to the death of his mother and sister. He didnt really seem too bothered. Other than that it was brill and i cant wait to read the rest :D

This was great!! I was between giving it four and five stars and ultimately went with 5 because I really did enjoy it despite the writing style being aimed a little more YA. The world building, politics, adventure, and love stories were all very interesting. I’m surprised to say that I’m not sure who I would “ship” to be with Raisa yet. I guess I will need to keep reading. I definitely recommend. It’s a story full of adventure.

3.5 rating. I enjoyed the book. The world is interesting the characters are good. The pace could be faster. It took a long time for things to really happen and then it seemed to drag again and pick back up. It is interesting enough for me to read the second, but I am hoping it moves a bit faster.
