I have a sexual assault trigger. I don't know if it actually happens but it was obviously going there so I had to exit

The gimmick quickly wore thin.

*Edited to give this an extra star. I was too hard on this book. It's not the greatest thing ever, but it's a solid story, and some characters that obviously stayed with me. I think I was just weary of domestic novels.

This was a most enjoyable book. It is a story about addiction, secrets and lies, reminding the reader that to a certain extent this figures in all our lives. The book is quite light and humeurous at the start but gets darker as the story progresses. The writer challenges our previous concept of where the vampire novel should be set and indeed what vampires should be. An addictive? and entertaining read.
