If you are able to not look too closely at some of the way things come together and missing details in the book then it’s a good read. It was fun to follow but also frustrating because it felt like the author skipped days just so there wasn’t a need to write about other things and details felt missing or hard to follow like you should already know some things. And the fmc comes off as not very bright in my opinion as if there is no reason for know the things she does or have figured things out even though she does? I don’t know not my favorite, but wrath is my favorite and I enjoy the storyline.

Okay surprisingly not bad, but there is still WAY too much going on and the world building is chaos. tbh will be reading the third because I need to know what happens.

well, why must she end it like that :):

i actually enjoyed this book way more than the first! i was more invested in this plot line than the one in kingdom of the wicked, and i felt like the pacing allowed for me to read through this nicely and without much pause or boredom.

the plot twists in this book did not really surprise me, as i had my suspicions. though it was great to have some of my questions answered, but that ending just caused a whole onslaught of more questions that i need answered. like right now.

things i liked:

1. the setting
the whole hellish atmosphere of kingdom of the cursed was definitely the highlight! i think the descriptions of hell and its inhabitants was so well done, and it was for sure a contrast to the Palermo setting in the first book. the houses and the insight we got on some of the princes of hell we have not previously met was interesting as well

2. wrath and emilia
so i absolutely adore these two! they are just so cute in this book; there are so many moments that i could not contain my smile while reading. the spicy scenes were expected, but i was still shocked at how far ms. kerri went (not that i’m complaining tho). also, both of them are badass. i cannot wait to see their relationship develop more in the next book!

3. the friendships
emilia’s new friendships with anir and fauna were phenomenal. the girl talks she had with fauna made me laugh, as well as her connection with anir. it was nice to see her communicate with someone other than the princes of hell, and i hope we see more of these relationships!

4. the masquerade ball
it was not that prominent to the entirety of the book, but it has been too long since i read a novel with a ball scene and i was just happy to see one again :)

things i did not like:

1. chapter 17
i don’t know. like i could understand why what happened here happened, but i feel as though it was still wrong. it 100% should have been communicated beforehand between emilia and wrath; her not knowing was definitely what made me not like this scene. (just a heads up, it was a scene where emotions are controlled)

overall, i think ms. kerri did a great job with this sequel! i’m excited for the final book to clear up any and all my confusion regarding the ending

Some pacing issues, but an extremely fun book to read that will stick with me for a long time. I NEED book 3!

"Instead of being ruled by fear, I could become fearless." —Emilia

"Love and hate are both rooted in passion." —Wrath

🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️

Mother Emilia is mothering. The character development in this book was quite amusing. Let's say girlbossing and slaying Emilia was ehat I have been waiting for. NGL I love her sm!! Father Wrath is fathering. This man was brutal yet gentle!?!? Like...?!?!? AKSJWJWIWJS🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️

Let's just say they both my parent; so—parent are parenting. Not to mention the tension betwen them is again aashshjwjsjsj. The lagoon scene especially is that hot HOT 🥵

I was gasping, shocking, screaming crying at the final chapter. Never wanted to read the next book immediately more in my entire life—again.

Can't wait to read Kingdom of the Feared!!💥🏃🏻‍♀️

The plot was all over the place. Nothing really happened. There are scenes in the book that have no value to the story whatsoever. To fill the page. Emilia is very arrogant. In one scene she gets her ass handed (because of her own stupidity) to her and only a few sentences later she's talking about how The Goddess should have mercy on their souls, when she comes for her enemies. The relationship between Wrath and Emilia is hot and cold. You wouldn't guess they even liked each other from the way they speak to each other. But by now they should be in love, according to the book?
Also it feels if the conclusions Emila makes about her investigation, come out of nowhere. I sat there wondering: "where they hell did that come from?" I believe it's the author trying to foreshadow what the solution to the problem is. But it's done so abruptly. And it makes no sense. Things and people that have been barely mentioned before are now suddenly the solution? Even the spice is nothing enticing. It's weird. They hate each other but are willing to have sex to complete a marriage bond. What?! I gave it my best shot. But I will not read any further.
