This is the third time I’ve tried and cannot get through this book. I am sooo bored and when I’m not, I’m just annoyed.
There’s nothing sexy or interesting about this story. I can’t believe this is the same writer of Stalking Jack the Ripper. So disappointed.
The first book was tolerable and there was plenty interesting about the world building and society. I didn’t love the FMC but she was tolerable and had room to grow. Unfortunately what she grew into was an entitled twit that talked a lot about the same thing over and over. She planned her next step then whined about it for five chapters only to discover she needed to tweak it slightly which added no growth to the plot. Then plan the same small nearly insignificant move for five more chapters only to discover something that I didn’t realize was supposed to be a plot twist because it was extremely obvious since the beginning. The reader was treated like an idiot through this whole thing.
It was like reading a story on watt pad.

Емилия е млада and it shows.

liked it better than the first book - loved to see wrath’s court and the balls but almost dnf’ed.
wrath not communicating for two books now was just annoying - if there is a curse involved at least leave clues or give some sort of explanation - leaving the explanation for the third book makes little sense to me.
again emilia’s train of thought is confusing and the book didn’t need to be this long. the only reason i am continuing to read is because we are getting 0 answers and the questions keep building (and not in a good way). the storyline is good and has so much potential but it’s not hitting for me
