Edit - August, 2023: I'm upping this to 4 stars. I keep coming back to this book and recommending it for the atmospheric read and it's constantly on my mind whenever I see a forest.
3.5 stars really. This was a very atmospheric read, kind of haunting (if you are a scared easily like me, I suggest reading this book with the lights on) and definitely magical at times. I don't give it four stars because I figured out what happened relatively quickly, same with the final plot twist, but I enjoyed reading it, even in it's simplicity of the characters, and for the ending. The most I'll carry with me from this book is the mood, I'm sure to remember it next time I'm close to a forest. "We are the daughters of the wood." - Yes, yes we are.

Este libro es increíble. Malditamente INCREÍBLE.

No puedo ni comenzar a explicar la intensidad de las emociones que está historia logró transmitirme. Con una atmósfera lúgubre y fría, personajes entrañables, un romance intenso y arrollador, e historias de brujas fascinantes, la autora pudo construir y presentarnos un cuento oscuro, intenso y con buenos toques de suspenso, en donde las brujas y los bosques malvados existen.

Beautifully written, has almost a Gothic feel to the storytelling. The central mystery keeps you guessing as the truth is slowly revealed. I liked the deep history of the Walker family and their connection to the town, the lake and the woods. 
Nora is a strong character and learning about her family while she is discovering herself pushes this story forward beautifully.

An atmospheric and haunting tale of the things that can be found in the cold, dark woods. A charming story and an enchanting romance, another fun book from Shea Ernshaw and I'm looking forward to see what she releases next.

Descubrí el libro gracias a mi suscripción de OwlCrate y ¡menuda sorpresa! Un libro espléndido y bien narrado, que te transmite el frío, el miedo y la aventura. Me encantan las historias de brujas y esta me ha gustado mucho. Un poco naïf para mi gusto y en algunos momentos previsible, pero engancha y enamora.
