This was such a fun summer read - and inspired by my absolute favorite Disney movie!
I absolutely fell in love with Ariel and Eric (I loved that we could get his side of this version of The Little Mermaid). Their chemistry from the first moment they meet was just too sweet for words, and I continued to fall in love with them falling in love - although there was so much yearning and pining, and I was really just ready for them to kiss or doing something already lol. I also really enjoyed having them both be musicians and having the band's national tour be the backdrop for this whole story. Watching everything unfold as they traveled the country was so fun.
Ariel and Eric are both at these major crossroad moments in their lives, and I thought the way they processed and eventually found the right path for both of them individually and together was really well done.

I generally enjoyed this book. It was a cute, lighthearted romance that was easy to read. The story was interesting and well written. Some plot points did make me eye-roll real hard but otherwise it was enjoyable and fun.

Not as LM as I wanted it to be but Eric is for sure the hottest prince and this book nailed that. I did tear up a couple times but I think that speaks more to my current mental/emotional state than the story itself. Cute, but Julie Murphy’s take is still my fav!

Absolutely fantastic! Loved this installment of Disney’s Little Mermaid imagined for grown ups. Ariel, one of 6 sisters in a world renowned girl band, meets Eric, an up and coming musician who loves music, except for hers. Mistaken identity, forced proximity, quirky bandmates, and an adorable guinea pig make for a charming story full of life and heart. Great on #audio.

It was really sweet. I liked how while there was an immediate connection, the relationship continued to develop. The third act conflict was obvious, but it was handled well.

This rockband, coming of age, secret identity, Little Mermaid retalling romance is book 3 in the Meant to Be series, although you can totally read it as a standalone. It was a very fun read! A modern retelling of a story we know so well, in a rockband/superstar setting with podcasts and social media. My favorite part was the text exchanges between Ariel and her sisters. I would've liked the ending to be a little less rushed.
