I tried all four books in this series and could not finish one of them. I like dark romance, I like morally grey, I can even like the bad guy gets the girl trope but this was just unhinged and way too stalkerish for my tastes.

yeah unfortunately this was shit from a butt. no one in this is likable. all of them are shells of a type of character (overprotective freak ass bf, traumatized damsel, quirky friends, etc). and the mmc is actually insane in a gross and incredibly cringe way. like i saw the vision but mama…. no. i saw the warning that he tampered with her birth control and it happened early on but he actually did it a SECOND TIMEEEE. again i know there’s a lot of freaky books out there but i fear this was just bad and wrong. realizing i can’t stand “dark” romances unless it’s fantasy or maybe like a mafia moment because ain’t no way a hockey player needs to be this much of a freak im sorry it’s just not clicking for me.
also way too much taylor swift is mentioned like i actually find it worse that the mmc loves taylor swift this much. it would be better if he listened to maroon 5 or anything else. trying to make him relatable and likable and yet…. im icked out. pass on this
