Fludd was a very thought-provoking read. I might reread it just to see if I can get some more meaning out of it. The word choice is vivid, although I wouldn't call it beautiful. I really enjoyed Mantel's subtle humor throughout the story. Most of the characters don't get a satisfying ending; you are left wondering what was real and what was imagined.
