You would think that because this book has a spoiler as a title, it would be less of a heartbreak..but boy would you be wrong. I love how realistic this books was with such a big fantasy as its core (pretty much the framework of Adam Silvera's books). It's pretty awesome how we get to see glimpses of all the minor character's life. Also how the tiniest of tiny things bind all of us together, like how me deciding what I want for breakfast today could potentially, somehow, in some fundamental way lead someone totally unrelated to me finding their soulmate, totally captivates me. And that was shown soo beautifully and tragically in this book.
To people who are looking into reading this book, I would say, do it, do it because we all need a reminder that we aren't immortal and we will never be...it's good to get a punch of reality.
And lastly, other than the book itself, I fell in love with with both Rufus and Mateo. Especially how much they grew though the course of the book. How beautifully they grew together yet stayed the same. They grew into the mold that was truly them.
They both die at the end but they both truly live till the end..

This actually was so good and I was very skeptical, very TFIOS but also made me really think about life in a full perspective.

This book broke me just a little bit!
Premise - we are in a future state (but it's only 2017) and we have technology called 'Death Cast' and it calls you between the hours of Midnight & 3am if you are going to die that day, so you know when your number is up and you can live your last day to it's fullest.
Once you get past the weirdness of this you can get on board with the story.
The two main characters of this book are Mateo and Rufus they are 18 and 17 years old and Death Cast called them to let them know they were dying today.
They found each other on an app called Last Friend and decided to spend their last day together.
They are two very unlikely friends as they are not alike at all, but somehow it all works.
I told myself to not get vested in them, because they the title tells me what is going to happen right, but I couldn't help myself, I fell in love with both of them, flaws and all.
Things I loved -
The way the multiple stories interacted with 'random' people all over the city, Deckers (those who are dying) and non Deckers alike.
The friendships, they felt true to life and honest
The way this story made me feel, I dreamed about it and thought about it when I wasn't reading (listening) to it. What would I do if I knew I had a last day to live, this book really made me feel.
Things I didn't love -
The language, this is a YA audience book, but the slang and sayings felt forced, like do any teenagers really speak like Rufus speaks? I found that tedious
It drags a bit because you are truly getting every hour and play by play of this day, while they fit a lot into it, some of it felt like fluff, I think we could have spent more time on the substantial things and less on the subway, etc.
Overall I loved this book and I think it will be on my mind for some time.

In the start I couldn't understand what was happening but after some time finally I understood that we are reading the story by different perspective of the characters which I loved it because it shows us how for different people diffrent things matters.
If someone wanted to read something which give you a different perspective for living then I highly recommend it. If you wanted to read something on how meaningfull is life than you can also read the light novel “I WANT TO EAT YOUR PANCREAS”
