I don't have much to say more than it's was a cozy story for adults that felt sometimes for kids

An absolutely delightful palate cleanser. A quick, light read but beautifully written with gorgeous imagery. I really enjoyed the whimsical world of Paris through the eyes of the animal characters and the lovely Etienne. Initially I had doubts of “what is this even about?” but quickly got lost in the world Smiley has created. The descriptions of Paras’ mannerisms and unique worldview were the icing on the cake as a self-identifying “horse person”.

Exactly the gentle read I needed! I’ve never been much of an animal fiction lover, but the quirks of the characters animal and human rang true.

Charming, low stakes, anthropomorphic story of friendship and what that means. A darling little palate cleanser which will stick with you. Excellent narration as well.

This was a simple and nice little story about unusual friendships. I enjoyed it a lot. I loved that most of the main characters were animals.

Sweet, but not for me right now. I found myself not able to buy into the premise enough to enjoy it.

oh to be a horse wandering the streets of Paris with her best friends—the dog, the raven, the rat, the ducks, and the eight year old boy

Also this book made me want to give Frida the biggest hug so I hugged a lot my doggie instead

More adult fiction from the POV of animals please
