This was my first Grisham novel... I was very impressed and completely absorbed from the very first chapter. I am upset that I no longer have as much time to read as this clearly would have been knocked out of the box. I was completely enthralled with his style of writing and the way the story unfolded before my eyes. I was even stopped dead in my tracks when the "action" scene happened. I will definitely be picking up more Grisham novels as soon as possible. This was a shocking read that I am glad I picked up and dually upset that I didnt buy more when I saw them on sale.

It was too preachy and the Evil Republicans were to blame. Can't roll my eyes hard enough.

Excellent on audio. I'm donating to a local homeless shelter this week.

I always enjoy a good Grisham book. Although they are kind of similar, I always enjoy it. The Street Lawyer was no different. Similar to his other books, but still enjoyable. This one was about high power attorney at a big firm (sound familiar?) who has a brush with death and becomes disillusioned with the high-power billing world of attorneys. OK, like any other Grisham book. But his one has a fun homeless twist that will make you feel guilty for ever passing a homeless person again.

The novel is about social justice rather than a suspense novel. It has a very idealistic view of what can be accomplished in a civil suit(I think most of the time big money wins over justice)>

Good. But predictable. Not much action. The ethical issues covered were familiar and well known (at least to me).
