A story of an emotionally dissociated man that seems to push an absurdist and nihilistic philosophy. I think the book did a great job at giving me a glimpse into a dissociated mind. The book left me with an empty feeling, even though it felt like the author was trying to convey a feeling of peace, zen and acceptance at the end, which I just didn’t connect with.

It was a definite page-turner for me.  It’s very matter of fact, and not meant to be overanalyzed.

Not what I expected, then again not sure what was to be expected... which is rather the entire theme of this vaunted classic. ‘Gentle indifference of the world’ exhibited repeatedly by ‘it doesn’t matter’ and not being able to find the time to get interested in something one’s not interested in.
The Stranger - to himself, his family, his friends - because it just didn’t matter.
