It was a little "busy" for me. Like Miller was just trying to cram in as many superheroes as he could. I'm not really into superhero books, so I'd rather have just read a more realistic and dark Batman story, not some crazy, over-the-top, DC-fan-catering book. It was still good, though, just not my type of thing.

I have very mixed feelings about this book. I found it to be very messy, things go haywire right off the bat (no pun intended) and don't seem to lead anywhere, but Frank Miller had something interesting up his sleeve. I reckon the ending is the novel's only saving grace. In a nutshell, I wouldn't recommend this book to newcomers.

Read it for Plastic Man, if nothing else.

Después de 3 años de la desaparición de Batman, Gotham y Metrópolis de nuevo están hechos un desmadre así que es hora de actuar.

Good, but not at the level of The Dark Knight Returns. I like this world, but there’s a lot of characters and I’m not as familiar with the entire DC universe, so there’s a lot that I’m missing.

I don't know. Miller clearly has something interesting things to say but often it comes across very hamfisted and other times it feels like things have gotten confusing in his own mind and even the story itself has to work to find its way. Interesting though.

I really loved DKR - and I really wanted to love DKSA... but I couldn't. The story was decent but the artwork was far to abrasive. I didn't care for it at all - perhaps if it was just black and white, I could have tolerated it, but the bright colors all over the place nearly gave me a seizure. I liked how all the heroes came together and how the story seemed to progress, but the style overload kept taking me away from it all. Too bad really.
