This is a fascinating book from a psychological standpoint, and I listened for character research... but I couldn't continue, because the book is written like a how-to, referring to the target as the "victim" and the reader in the second person. It was pretty creepy actually. I kept thinking, is this guy actually a sociopath? He almost has to be...
We are all narcissists. That's the narrator's premise as he takes us by hand with Machiavelli-like paternalism. Is the narrator truly speaking as the author? My guess is that it is a dramatic device. A cleaver one. An enjoyable one. And my moral sensibilities were willingly suspended by clear use of the term "victim" to denote those being seduced. There is collateral damage in this game. A game ubiquitous enough to warrant a frank examination.
I saw more than 5 tiktoks about this book so i decided to read it and i do not recommend that anyone ever does again hahhah. its honestly kind of creepy and makes it seem like women exist to manipulate and seduce men and its weird

I am re-reading this book and I have read it before. It's dense and historically and pychologically packed. I like it because it really shows people in the patterns, something I've always been curious about...
If I ever employed the tactics used in this book… And found them successful… I would be so disappointed in whoever fell for this load of nonsense that it would have been a waste of time.
This has to be a joke. I don't know how this book ended up in my Audible library but it was short so I figured I would try to blitz through to get another title on my books for the year.

My favorite was written by "The Bomb.com" and he said "The Dragon has awaken, prepare to be set on FIRE! I have been dormant for far too long, now is the time to evolve into my true ALPHA self..." so if that is what you are looking for I guess this is the book for you. For the rest of us trying to better ourselves and society, don't waste your time.

From the misogynistic and pretentious undertones of this book, I had originally assumed it must have been written in the 1950's, not 2001.
