Brilliant piece of realism exploring motherhood as a trans-inclusive concept. As funny as it was challenging, very complexed and nuanced characters.

I devoured this in a day. It's not just as good as you've heard, it's better.

Brilliant, sensitive, funny, full of character, and able to divine the complex relationships between sex, sexuality, womanhood, trans identity, parenthood, and change.

This book is primarily an exploration of gender, identity, and motherhood from the perspectives of three women with different lived experiences. The plot is secondary to that (which I prefer, but explains why some people didn’t engage with the book).

Some weird comparisons between racism and transphobia which felt uncomfortable coming from a white author.
