another delightful book by Herrera! I loved Aurora’s sense of self confidence and her dedication to helping women. I struggled more with Apollo as a love interest - he’s the most overbearing of Herrera’s MMC, and I felt that more often than not he steamrolled past Aurora’s boundaries (never sexually, but socially). He mentions that he appreciates Aurora’s independence - I just wished his actions had showed that as much as he said it. He did solidly support her when she asked for it, which I appreciated.

I am a disappointed that Philip was essentially left to be lose and in the wind, but the plot point with Ackworth was the final confrontation. It felt like Philip was Aurora’s personal villain, while Ackworth was the more general villian. I think the conflict with Ackworth was well done, I just wish there had been some more resolution with Philip too.

Perfect from start to finish
