It’s a fine message that the three volumes tried to convey, but I feel that it wasn’t really done well. The plot was rushed and broken up between large amounts of satirical ads that just got in the way most of the time. By the time I’d get through the fake ads and articles, I’d almost forgotten the plot that was going on beforehand. The plot as a whole didn’t make much sense and jumped around too much to follow well. I wish the story had been done better, as I’m sure the impact of the message it tried to get at would have been more prominent.

At first, I was disappointed by the ending. But then, I readjusted to think of these three volumes as a miniseries, and I really liked them a lot. In the end, it's just a very entertaining, satirical look at gender and the way women are treated in society. Very well done, very funny, and very satisfying. My only complaint about this book is that most of it is flotsam from the world, like newspapers and advertisements and school posters, which are really cool and well done but I would have liked a little more story. Either way, I loved the idea of the whole series.

At this point I'm actually begging cis "feminist" authors to stop lumping trans men in the same category as cis women. You're being weird! Like, really weird! You get that, right? Anyway, please hire a sensitivity reader next time.

I liked the revolution! I was simultaneously impressed and disappointed by the explanation of the panther thing, because the panther thing going the other way would have been Way Cooler, but it made a lot of narrative sense this way and I liked it. The last quarter or so was in-universe materials and alternate cover designs, which got a little boring.

Geez, this went completely off the rails. Chaotic and still pretty hard to parse. An interesting concept still, but this last installment went from 0 to 100 and then just kinda... ended. Weirdest pacing I’ve ever encountered.
