i found the names of the main characters too similar, it caused me some confusion on who was who when reading the story. But overall loved the book and would re read for comfort(:

LOVED this short little book. I think it represented depression and loneliness very well. How the character dealt with her situation, found love, and found herself all made for a great story that put me in my feels.

um we are definitely not okay. i cried so many times. this is definitely an ode to the lonely girls. so so beautiful and utterly gut-wrenching, yet full of hope. can’t believe this languished on my tbr for 7 years.

Tbh I didn't go expecting much into this. I've never read any of her works before. wasn't that fascinated with the description. But the cover is just so mesmerising.

It was a pretty short and beautiful read. I cannot stress enough on how beautiful she writes, one of the reviews said it's like she's painting and I agree.

This was a book about loss. That's it. Everything even the setting resonated that feeling of loss.

The book was very quiet. I don't think I've ever read anything like it.

At some points though it got boring reading about Marin brushing her teeth etc.

I actually loved the way the story was revealed. With alternative chapters in the present and past.

The characters were life like.

this book tackles grief in such a raw and emotional way that it makes your heart ache. for a second, i was scared the book would shift its focus to romance, but that's not what this is. love the way this was handled.
