I really love Tess Gerritson... as gruesome as the books are... they are so intelligent and smart. It was a treat to be able to read to this past weekend while on vacation sans kids.

I think one of the reasons I like this series is that I have a hard time guessing the endings. Gerritsen does a great job with twists. Good fast pace, twisty, and well researched. Rizzoli is just a great character and Isles is growing on me.

I do get the feeling that a gimmick was needed for this book. The characters are archaeologists therefore the crimes must reflect that. Having said that, it's still a good, easy to read thriller.
