Beautifully edited anthology. Most of the stories got a five star from me, none less than four. Well written latine flavored imaginative collection of cuentos (or not?).

A deliciously monstrous collection of short stories focusing on latine and latine american lives and featuring latine monsters.
The main theme across the 15 shorts is this idea of the misunderstood or complex monsters, and I looove this trend among the monsters of Latin America.
Some are better than others for sure but they're all strong and contain their satisfying climaxes and characters. My favorite of the bunch has to be between Dismembered and The Boy From Hell but I had a great time with these tales.

Fifteen new stories with spectacular artwork that should be told around the campfire or at a sleepover from a Latin perspective. These are not your grandmother’s ghost stories, because they are all brand new…but when an abuela speaks you’d better heed their advice because you don’t know what is coming until it is ready to grab you with its claws.

Pretty good anthology! I let myself take my time and appreciate each story as it went through, and none disappointed me. I was very grateful for my basic Spanish skills so I didn’t get lost in places.
