Legit so upset about the ending. I love Clarice, so seeing how it ended made me want to throw up. The beginning was just fine. I really am just reading this because of the show, which makes me appreciate it more seeing how much they’ve adapted from the books. The ending really ruined it. I can’t.
I didn't expect to be quite so impressed by the broad intelligence the author expresses in this book. From language, to philosophy, psychiatry, culture and arts, to law and modern theoretical physics.
I was also impressed by the broad range of characters and their depths, men and women alike. Cerebrally cutting, both literally and in the sudden impositions of elegantly described gore. Never thought I'd write that sentence. What a book.

Rakastan Uhrilampaita, sekä elokuvaa että kirjaa. Ehkä elokuvaa vielä enemmän, koska Jodie Foster ja Anthony Hopkins on siinä niin helvetin hyviä. Tykkään Punaisesta lohikäärmeestä kirjana, mutta se leffa on ihan vitun huono.
Tää sen sijaan oli muuten aika perus dekkari, toki aika karu sellainen, mutta en kauheasti saanut mistään mitään irti. Starlingin elämästä oli jo kerrottu kaikki tarpeellinen siinä ensimmäisessä kirjassa, eikä muiden kuin Vergerin siskon kohtalo kiinnostanut. Mutta. Kun jaksaa lukea loppuun asti, niin toi loppu vetää jalat alta. Liioittelen varmaan jos sanon, että toi on yks parhaita loppuja ikinä koskaan missään. No, ainakin yllättävin, jos ei muuta. (Ja tietenkin se jätettiin pois elokuvasta, eli mun ei tarvitse ikinä elämässäni katsoa sitä. You had one job, seriously.) Ei se tästä kirjasta mitään mestariteosta tee, että loppuratkaisu on hyvä, mutta lukemisen arvoinen todellakin.

Reese warned me that this book was bad and it very much was. It started to feel truly Hannibal-ly around the 2/3 mark, but everything before that was so boring. Felt like I was also dying in overly described Florence. And then the ending... wowzers. CLARICE WOULD NEVER LOVE THAT GROSS OLD MAN. Don't even argue that "that's the point" and "it's showing off the power of Hannibal's manipulation tactics." No, get my girl out of there. She deserves better.

This series just keep getting better and better. I feel kind of appalled that I actually like and admire Hannibal Lecter. I also detest rude people just could not even imagine murdering them and eating them.
