Love it… a bit dry/long in some areas, but overall, it was great! Lots of character building and introducing new cultures in depth

This took me 6 moths to read. I don't know, I have been having a bit of a reading slump and I think this book caused atleast some of it. I ENJOYED it but because it takes a lot of concentration for me to read adult fantasy in english and I didn't have the right amount of motivation my reading dragged and that caused me not to like it as much as previous WoT books. But that has all to do with me and and nothing to do with Robert Jordan.
I really liked that we focused on some characters and left others storylines a bit. I bet the next book will focus more on those characters we didn't read about in The Fires of Heaven.
I still think that Robert Jordan isn't that great at writing romantic devolment and romantic relationships. And the line "women are so weird, they are impossible to understand" is overused by a lot of male characters. And if Rand can't get over himself enough to be able to kill women that want and can kill him I will scream. And OMG can he just please let the Maidens do their damn job already. Still, I don't think WoT/Robert Jordan has a bad view on women. It's just a bit aged at certain times which is totally understandable.
I'm really intrigued about what Rand plans for other men that can channel, the White tower conflict and if Nynaeve will be able to learn how to heal all that she wants to heal...
