great writing and an interesting an story that leaves a lot open at the end and doesn’t give any real answers to all the questions that come up through the story.
i wish it would have been at least made clear if laura was real or not and what ama experienced as actually happening. i wouldn’t care in which direction an answer would have gone, as long as there would have been a bit of a clarification of what was happening.
as it stands it’s a good quick read and was interesting but left me very much with the though it’s: “but what’s happening and what’s going to happen and just what?”
so if that sounds good to zoo? go for it!

This suspenseful and haunting story is told by Ama who falls for a nerdy guy named Nathan. Despite not looking like the outdoorsy type Nathan takes Ama to his cabin in the woods. There Ama learns dark secrets within the small walls of the cabin.
I really enjoyed this story and the characters. The readers are left putting together the pieces with Ama. Great story by the author of The Other Black Girl.
