Delightful

I bought this book because I like Alina K. Field’s books. But I enjoyed all the stories in Desperate Daughters. Each story was well written with delightful characters. I liked how the stories connected to each other, yet had their own flavor. Well done, Bluestocking Belles (and friends).

Ahhh. A story filled with the hopes and wishes of finding love and praying that loves find you. Before Richard or Patience can truly reach for what they want, they need to honor and take of their loved ones. The short story was very sweet and charming. I found entertainment from their friends and family as they drove Richard crazy and Patience was beginning to lose her patience.
I loved the romance and the sentimental actions between the couple. The book was a easy read. This story is a cozy read to cuttle up to at night.

This is an awesome anthology. The heroines are all strong, independent, talented, and family oriented. The heros are swoon worthy book boyfriends. The stories all have 2 connections – family and the York season. These connections link the stories together and allowed some of the characters to popup in other stories – which I love. You can feel the love that the authors put into their stories.

I enjoyed this world of the Bigglesworth’s and their relations. As always with good novellas, I wish that the stories had been longer as I wanted more of them and the main characters. As you read this anthology you will laugh, sigh, grit your teeth (because you want to throttle someone) and cheer.
