Only 2 stars because there was too much sex for my taste after the first third of the book. The rest of the book, however, I loved.  This spin on the Greek gods and the world that was described in this book are amazing - this mix of city rulers/mafia family. I loved the characters and their relationships with each other.

I am just not in the mood for this book, but I'm definitely going to come back to it later.

I’ll be coming back to this eventually but I just can’t pick up my kindle and read. My brain is not allowing it and I don’t want to force myself to finish this when I know that when I’m in the mood for it, I will devour it

One of those retellings that are like, "Hades empowering, Demeter bad!" Had fun reading this one though.

Ok if you like Katee Robert’s Dark Olympus series I feel like you’ll really love this! First, both main characters are Trans! Which I LOVED. I personally really loved how this was written, I just struggled with how this world was structured. But I tend to always struggle with that in modern Greek Mythology retellings so it’s probably just me. I also would’ve liked the stakes to be a *bit* higher.

Overall though? Super hot Hades x Persephone retelling with some great representation and beautiful writing 🫶
