Umm… excuse me? Why’d I wait so long 😭🧍🏻♀️this book was so good! 😮💨 I was confused at the beginning especially with the names & trying to figure out the world but as the book progressed I grasped it a little more. Persephone was an aerialist at his casino and he was in awe of her & her talent as soon as he saw her! The romance was so cute & healthy! The commutation?? LOVE! There was no thirst act breakup bcuz of that too! And he was so sweet with her 🥹😭 sometimes even bashful which I was just obsessed with! It was fast paced and the smut??! 🧎🏻♀️🧎🏻♀️ why’d no one mention that they’re switches?! Also there was a FFM scene 🤭 loved the conversations had about them being trans and learning about their journeys, there’s also trans side characters! Check TW!

four point five stars! ❀ god, despite this taking me two weeks to get through, i absolutely ADORED this book. the writing was literally some of the best i’ve ever read, and i am very, very intrigued to pick up some of virtues’ other works! i love all things hades and persephone, and this was probably one of the better renditions of the myth that i’ve read. i loved every second of it (except for the twist at like the 90% mark :/ it felt a bit rushed to me ngl but it was still pretty good) and i am so excited to read about aphrodite and hephaestus next!! i think it’s gonna be just as good
