I am at a loss for words. One of the Good Guys is brilliant and intelligent and completely devastating. Hearing Elliott Fitzpatrick narrate Cole was chilling. I cried multiple times listening to this audio book, sometimes in anger and frustration for the world that we live in and the men who don’t understand the dangers that women face, and sometimes in sadness for the men who have let me and so many others down by excusing bad behaviour.

Check content warnings but, if you feel you are able to, I would highly recommend this book.

An important conversation starter and an important narrative in the world today. I often think about how much longer women will stay silent, I think it's already been too long and this book addresses the need for better conversations and solutions.

Thank you for Zando for the arc — I am providing my honest review on my own accord.

The first 25% of this book was a big ol’ yawn to me because I was thinking “every man is just some guy” & I remain unimpressed with society at large & also mostly with cishet men😇  Anyway, once we got to part two, my interest was aggressively piqued & the story picked up👀

I appreciated the commentary on what it is like to be a woman/femme in current society. The additions of articles, tweets, AITA reddit threads, podcast transcripts, Whatsapp messages, and more felt like a fitting ode to the current cultural zeitgeist. I think Hall illustrated the multiple perspectives on gender dialogues very well. It was unsettling & an uneasy feeling recognizing that this rampant misogyny is an everyday reality for us. I just often think about the fact that almost every woman I know has been sexually harassed, yet every man claims they don’t know any man who has committed sexual, physical, or emotional violence against women/femmes …. Idk, that is fucking eerie🫠

I read this in one sitting & I can absolutely see it being a book club hit, inspiring a *lot* of dialogue!
