Another one from Filthy Loot for my collection, and I really quite enjoyed this one. There's a few tropes and ideas I've never seen before, and I've read a lot of horror, so that was exciting!
We start off strong with 'Green Thumb' which I really enjoyed and was probably my favourite of them all. A quick, sharp read to start us off, Ethan wakes up after a one night stand in a stranger's house, while exploring Ethan finds an unlocked door leading to the basement from which he can hear strange noises. You can see where the story is going from pretty early on but it had some good tension, and the reveal was something I wasn't expecting. Very creative and not something I've seen before!
As part of this collection we also have 'Shape Shift With Me', a quick little ghost story; 'Beat Wings Like A Drum' is a creepy crawly story with a shocker of an end; 'Soul Exchange' is about a summoning ritual gone wrong; and finally we have 'Leaf Mouth', a strange tale of a couple discovering a "gate" in the forest that will change them forever.
