This third book in the series was also a pleasure to read. Things bogged down a little for me in the last third of the book; however, the final chapter had me reading as fast as I could because of THE SUSPENSE!!

This one was a bit less exciting but it was still a joy to read. I swapped between audio book and physical book depending on what I was doing. I just can’t get enough of this series and I am so relieved there are so many more to read.

Although I thought the middle was a bit too slow (the stuff in Turkey just didn't interest me much) I REALLY liked the 2nd half and all of the brilliant world building and history bending it does. Jena and Auerstadt pretty much exactly how they happened BUT WITH DRAGONS SEAMLESSLY WOVEN IN!!!!! Also, super militant Prussian dragons!!!! So damn fun!!!!

I felt like the plot of this one was super uneven and I’m getting tired of so many fight scenes, but I think it set up the next one to have some real potential

Why, yes, that was the first three books in three days. And, yes, I am afraid to even think of what my inbox looks like right now.
