I wish this was longer--the characters are lovely, and getting to spend more time with them, dig just a little bit deeper, and explore their world would have been a dream. That's the best compliment you can give a book, though.

Really cute juvenile book. It's more about the relationships between the characters then a big space opera.

Sarah Prineas is amazing at what she does as always-deep, nuanced themes pitched just right for the target audience. And it's so much fun at the same time. So happy to see this is the start of a new series!

A delightful scifi read that's heartfelt and adventurous without being too dense.

I loved everything about this! Trouble is such an endearing protagonist, and I really loved how the story binds the characters together as the book goes on. So special and definitely worth the read!!

Yellow. 256 pages

The Blob (Trouble) is a shapeshifter and also “the most dangerous weapon.”

Stowaways on “the Hindsight” —- great line “I know the Hindsight was coming.”

Lots of interesting ideas/themes—-what makes a human? What does science have the right to do? Just because we can, does that mean we should? Chosen family.

Space opera for the middle grade set. Very well done! I found the main character's inner monologue especially relatable, as I'm usually talking to myself in much the same way.

I was prepared to not like this book because Sci-fi isn't my favorite genre. This story is more about found family and an adorable shape-shifting character named Trouble. There is all the sciency stuff to support the genre and I must say that Trouble's narration made it all sound easy to understand. It's about finding family and a place to call home. It is also so very inclusive. I loved every moment of this adventurous story. I say that it has all that makes me happy for a middle grade read.
