Please know that I really did love this series but this book #4 just left me wanting some more. Callum is one of the owners of the club and from the description this dude is like s*x on a stick! He is a major playboy and takes full advantage of all the things that the club has to offer, EVERY NIGHT.

Aida is the FMC and she is 10 years older than Callum, divorced, and has two children. She wants to step into a new era by showing the world that women of a certain age can still own their sexuality and be sexual beings. And she does this by wanting to make it a documentary.

Callum is the man for the job to help her take those necessary steps into the now and show the world that she can be as sexy as a 20 year old. Butttt he starts to catch feelings. He wants to be around her all the time, and she needs a lot of convincing that he even really is attracted to her.

Their story was great but it seems that they hit their high note and after that it was a lot left to be desired. It did not stop me from reading the next one but it was just the experience that I had. Wanna know more? Read the book!

I loved this book so much! Cal and Aida’s story was everything I wanted it to be and more!

As a single mum navigating life after divorce, seeing the accurate representation of our real life challenges on paper was really nice! I loved how the book was written. I loved seeing the contrast between Cal’s pompous cheeky side against Aida’s put-together and proper personality. I also loved the cameos from the characters in the earlier books.

I did a read and listen and Will Watt was fantastic! He brought out Cal’s personality so well! I struggled quite a bit with the female narrator especially with the mispronunciation of words. I also felt like her voicing of the male characters lacked depth and came out monotone. Unfortunately, I skipped the listen for some of Aida’s POV and read instead.

A duet narration for the remaining books would be amazing!

3.5 ⭐ Untether is a steamy reverse-age-gap romance that follows Aida, a celebrity in her 40s looking to reclaim her sexuality, and Cal, one of the four owners of Alchemy sex club. Cal is a familiar face from the previous books; a jovial, handsome man who has fun with lots of women and never settles down. Aida wants to use her platform to create a docuseries that highlights how women of her age are still sexual beings, and that they should own their desires. Aida and Cal are brought together by a partnership between the documentary and Alchemy.

I enjoyed Untether overall, but it didn't live up the the first three books for me. I LOVED the first three books. I admire Aida so much as a character and I love her journey of connecting with herself and her own desires. I think it is true that our society doesn't value women as sexual beings after they reach a certain age...and I love that Aida was willing to risk her career to shine light on a controversial topic. To be honest, I did find myself cringing at times over the interviews and how awkward it felt for them to be speaking about sex on national television. I was thinking about how the public would perceive it and knew there would be criticism.

I love how obsessed Cal is with Aida. From the moment they met (and even before), Cal is incredibly interested in her and shows it. While their first encounters in the Unfurl program feel "awkward" and a bit forced, mainly from Aida's side, she quickly becomes more comfortable with Cal and the awkwardness melts away. Aida and Cal have incredible chemistry together and the spicy scenes are well written and sexy; Elodie Hart is very good at what she does. Watching Cal fall in love with Aida (first, I will add) is adorable. It takes a bit longer for Aida to trust Cal. While I can't yet relate to all of her struggles, her difficulty with trust is definitely one that I understand. The growth that both characters go through is rewarding to read about. Elodie Hart writes these incredibly spicy books that also offer a lot of emotional depth.

I love age gap romance, but I prefer when the man is older. I don't know what that says about me, but it's just what I like. The first 3 books in the series are all age-gap and that is partly what drew me to them. The reverse age-gap is just not my preference and I think it did impact my enjoyment of the story just a little bit. I did pick this up knowing this, so I tried to not let it impact my review. There is also a very cheesy line referencing Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift that I just could not take seriously, and I love Taylor Swift! Some people will probably like it, but it was a cringey one for me lol.

Very steamy and cute romance. I love this series and I can't wait to read more!

Oh Elodie. I could just eat your books with a spoon. The perfect banter, the perfect flawed characters, the 🥵 perfect spice.

Aida is recently divorced after her husband of 15 years cheats on her publicly. She is 46, raising two young boys, a world famous journalist who is known for her take charge & brutally honest interviews & she gets an idea. She wants to create a documentary about women in the 40s & 50s & how they are still sexual beings, still deserve & crave sex & sexual relationships & she sets out to star in it.

Enter Cal, sex club owner & well known ladies man. He’s takes with mentoring her & mentor her he does. 😳 As the documentary unfolds, so does their relationship. The spice was just whoa - so good. I saw myself in Aida as a woman entering her 40s, a mom to young kids, quickly disappearing in the public eye, going invisible to everyone younger than I am.

This book led to more than a few deep breaths & I had to see it aside a few times to stare at the wall BUT the story is also beautiful, tender, profoundly loving & exactly what Aida (and all women just like her) deserve.
