I enjoyed this one...I don't think I expected Cal to be as feral as he was because he was represented as the happy go lucky fuck boy ... loved the happy ending but the actual relationship aspect seemed a bit rushed, he did a 180 pretty quick but still, I was there for it and I did feel in the moment with them.

Sweet and hot. I didn't read any of the other books in the series, but I have a feeling that if I had, I would have loved Cal and been excited for his book. And I loved him in this. A playboy who falls so hard and fast without any hesitation is my catnip. And I loved how he was so into how powerful Aida was. And Aida was great. And no third act break up. It was a delightful read. A few things here and there weren't my favorite (like, we get it - your friends are super hot. You don't need to describe how gorgeous all the women friends are every time you see them), but despite that, Cal made me laugh and I enjoyed it

Premise: Aida (the FMC) is a famously high-powered journalist, and Cal (the MMC) is the younger and confident sex club owner who thinks she’s completely out of his league. After going through a very public divorce, Aida decides to make a documentary about women in their 40s taking control of their sexuality, and enlists Cal to be her “mentor”.

Whew, this was very, very sexy! And even though sex/sexual awakening was central to the plot, the story was more than just a string of smutty scenes. The characters had ridiculously good chemistry, the build up was excellent, and the relationship was so sweet — with mature communication as a bonus.

What I probably loved most was the dynamic between these two. Outside of bed, she was the more accomplished one and he respected the hell out of her, but in bed he was the one with more experience and, well… 🥵🥵🥵. Let me try to explain that again: 🥵🥵🥵.

I haven’t read the other books in this series yet (the first 3 are about Cal’s co-owners), but I’m definitely going to now.

This was not my favorite of this series. I feel like the FMC was overly sexualized in the real world and how she was constantly described in the book because of her job. I don't know, I just wasn't getting it. The spice was good though... a little weird with the mask kink, but overall a good book.
