3.5 ⭐️ I love Sutton Foster. She is so open and vulnerable in this book and I’m kind of amazed by it. Some of the writing was a bit clunky but overall, her story is touching.

Memoirs, meh. Read it for book club (don't take memoir recommendations from me, it's not something I love). Never knew who Sutton Foster was, now I do. It was interesting, a fine read, but great? Not for me.

I think the hardest part of reading this was that her mother died around the same time mine did, so that part really tore at me. Otherwise, a great story of crafting, performing, and family.

I love Sutton Foster and loved learning more about her. I went with 4 stars because while I understood and could appreciate to an extent the way the book was organized and the story told, it was less linear than I would have preferred.

If I didn't already love Sutton Foster, now I love her even more. This memoir was perfect and made me want to get out my crafting supplies, call my college roomies, and watch Bunheads. I loved this book and the author's relatability.

Musical theater and crafts and one of my favorite performers talking about how both of those things helped her overcome anxiety. Just perfect.

I adore Sutton Foster and loved getting to hear about her life behind the scenes, her strange and strained relationship with her mother, her infertility struggles and more. I think you would have to be a big Sutton fan to pick this one up, but it will not disappoint!

I love Sutton Foster and am amazed by her talent, so I enjoyed listening to her memoir. It was interesting reading how she started out so young, kind of naïve, and unsure of herself to become more confident in her inner "badass." She includes several stories about her mom and her mom's mental illness and how that affected her growing up and beyond. The Audible pdf doesn't include very many pictures, and I wanted to see more photos of the crafts she references in the book. I learned that Sutton Foster played Eponine in the National Tour of Les Mis back in 1999 - that's when it came to Corpus and I went! So I must have seen her perform! I didn't realize this at the time, but I remember Eponine was my favorite. I will have to see if I still have my old Playbill to double-check this.
