Lots of gorgeous full-color and full-page photographs to provide inspiration. I liked that the book didn't attempt to provide patterns or tutorials, because I think it is always nearly impossible to recreate exactly what is pictured in a craft book anyway. As with many craft projects, the quality of your finished item is going to be largely dependent here on what kind of ribbon you find and use. There were some really cute and innovative ideas for using ribbon - I especially like the seashell and ribbon mock curtain idea for a bathroom window. I actually would have really liked to have worked on the design team for the book because I can imagine the brainstorming discussion every day: "What else should we tie ribbons on?!" The second half of the book was less exciting, as it used ribbons as finishing touches, which (as near as I can figure) mostly just meant tying them in a bow on everything from silverware to doorknobs. Still, a tutorial on how to tie different types of bows is provided along with a list of ribbon resources at the end of the book. Overall, it was ok and had beautiful pictures, but is probably the type of book I'm fine renting from the library and not owning for my personal collection.
