Overall, I really enjoyed this book - I think the Gossip Girl/Pretty Little Liars comparison is apt, and it also reminded me of the Truly Devious series. The plot made me want to keep coming back for more. There are moments where the book feels a little heavy-handed, but it’s not too distracting overall. Hard to believe the author was between 18-22 years old while writing this book!

I read this thinking my high school students from last summer might like it, and I came away assured that they would love the book.

Honestly, it's my own fault. I hate Gossip Girl and this seems very similar. Just not my thing. Too much weird Americanisms in it as well
