Amazing collection blending horror, hardboiled and western (Carrion and Durston). Already planning to revisit my favorites (Second Chance, Carrion and Road Dogs) and read some more Partridge.

Picked up after reading Dark Harvest. Some of these stories were pretty solid - the titular tale being the best of them, with incredible creature design - but others I found a little grating, overwrought, or just boring. My advice is to skip around and just read the ones that hold your interest.

Lesser Demons by Norman Partridge, (the tale that gives its name to the anthology) is a story that must be read between the lines, because the true story is in the background and the narrator is is an unreliable narrator, too full of fear, madness and prejudices to see beyond

Some interesting, odd POV stories - if you like odd horror, you'll like this.
