I really liked this! I almost wish there was more. The best part of this story is the relationship between Deiss and Liv and I wanted more of that-especially in South Africa. I wish more of the story was set there. I didn’t love the friends whatsoever. They were actually pretty crappy and forgiven too easily. I also liked Liv’s journey of discovering her true self and true passion. The ending felt a tad rushed. This is cute and definitely pick it up if you enjoyed The Layover, I didn’t enjoy this as much as that but I’m excited for what the author puts out next!

100% I really liked this book. I loved the friendships and the vacation. I loved Liv even with her bullshit. Give it a read!

This book was just ok, I bought it a few months ago on a whim though I hadn’t heard of it before. It definitely had its moments and I liked it just fine, but nothing about it stood out to me, to be honest. Most of the characters felt flat to me and though I liked the love interest I never understood why I was supposed to root for the characters to end up together, it almost felt forced. I also questioned the friendships which were at the very center of the story, they were meant to be really genuine but it seemed like no one truly trusted each other.

I am a sucker for an friends to lovers love story and I did liked The Layover so I was excited to read this book. It was an emotional story that I can see a lot of people loving and enjoying and I did like it and the writing was great, I just don't think it quite hit me in all the feels I was hoping it would. Still a beautiful story about found family, love, and life.
