The best one of the series thus far.

I loved the take on Midsommer’s Night Dream as the backdrop. We get a little bit of dark academia, a love potion gone wrong, weird feelings, a well thought out mystery.

I feel like we even get more in depth character development. Loved this one.

Another cozy whodunnit in this Nancy Warren series. I find myself reading a few of these books every year and I love when they line up with the season.

This story was leading up to Valentine’s Day and was very entertaining with a love potion gone awry. But along with some mismatched infatuations there’s also murder and mystery galore.

And it ended with a bang!

The mystery in this one was way better than in previous books. Amazingly, Lucy doesn't cock it up too much either. The only annoying thing was her blaming the people for their actions when under the influence of her love potion, which she stupidly let get out there. That was the most stressful scene for me. I also started wondering in that chapter if I'm hate-reading these because I really despised Lucy right then. I felt she could have taken way more responsibility for how things turned out in that regard. Plus, she kept writing if the option itself was causing the bad things because it was corrupted somehow, which just didn't make any sense to me.

All in all, this was a better mystery but a very similar book to previous ones. If you like what you've read so far, you'll like this one.

3.5 cozy mystery and I’m really starting to love the characters

The end perfect! Finally! I was waiting for this for 4 books. XD
