Before She Knew Him took me on a crazy journey! This was a fast-paced, page turning thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. Hen becomes obsessed with her next door neighbor whom she suspects is a serial killer. In unique fashion, Then the book takes on another crazy twist, leaving me slack jawed and racing to finish this novel!
Spoiler
we get to hear the serial killer's point of view as well! He completely justifies his killing in a very logical fashion, but it's clear he's out of his mind.
Love the perspectives from the neighbor and Hen. Still good plot twists. It’s interesting to know Matthew is a confirmed killer near the beginning of the book and Hen still remains an unreliable narrator.
Only put it down when I had to! Very unexpected ending. Kept me trying to figure it out the whole time. Didn't care for the mentally ill, nosey female lead, that seems to be in many new thrillers nowadays, but understand why it had to be that way for the story to work.
OK. Well I liked how we had a MC here who had a mental illness but was treated respectfully by the author--how she had to fight for credibility with the other characters in the book. But the ending, COME ON
This was an okay thriller. I didn’t love it nor did I hate it. It was entertaining enough to finish in two days but nothing exceptional. I’ll probably check out more of his work though.

3.5 Stars Rounded Down.
I called the twist a little too early for my liking but the story was fine and the characters, though flawed, weren't annoying
