I could not finish it. I will usually power through a book but after six weeks, I was only 38% done. I think it’s because every time I tried to read this book, I could not get into it. I just felt like it was all over the place so every time I would pick it up again, I found myself having to re-read the last few pages to see what was going on. This then lead to me not even wanting to read most of the time. I honestly should have given up sooner and not wasted my time. It’s a miss for me.

This book might be a good/fun read, but I just can't get into it. The (obviously illustrative) voice of the character in the first chapter(s) just sits wrong with me. I'm all but positive that it's to set up a character arc, I just... can't.

I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I was going to. I do agree it felt a bit short and unresolved, but I still liked the characters and storyline.

Cute, breezy. Not as laugh out loud funny as Jen’s earlier books but still enjoyable.

Highly entertaining. Exactly what I needed to read in this political climate.

I like light and fluffy books as much as the next person, but they're not supposed to be so light that they float away.

Jen Lancaster, you’ve done it again! Housemoms is like that perfect cocktail: a splash of humor, a twist of drama, and a generous pour of heart. I found myself chuckling at the clever dialogue, nodding at the insightful moments, and absolutely living for the quirky, lovable cast of characters. Seriously, can we be besties with some of them?

The story zipped along with so much wit and charm that I couldn’t put it down—and now I’m in a complete state of book-hangover withdrawal. What happens next?! I need a sequel, stat! Come on, Jen, don’t leave us hanging like a lost roommate on move-in day. Whether you’re a Lancaster fan or new to her work, Housemoms is a hilarious, feel-good escape you won’t want to miss. Now excuse me while I start a petition for book two!
